Dual language helps students excel academically while becoming bilingual, biliterate and bicultural. The program is committed to educating students in a multicultural learning environment and encouraging learners to celebrate diversity and become responsible citizens of the world. Dual-language students participate in a rigorous academic program that follows the AISD academic standards and curriculum.

At the elementary school level, one-way and two-way dual-language programs are offered in Spanish. The one-way program is designed for native Spanish speakers. Galindo Elementary offers the one-way Spanish program, and many of our teachers are bilingual in English and Spanish!

El lenguaje dual ayuda a los estudiantes a sobresalir académicamente mientras se vuelven bilingües, bilingües y biculturales. El programa se compromete a educar a los estudiantes en un entorno de aprendizaje multicultural y alentar a los estudiantes a celebrar la diversidad y convertirse en ciudadanos responsables del mundo. Los estudiantes de dos idiomas participan en un programa académico riguroso que sigue los estándares académicos y el plan de estudios de AISD.
